    These are very special days for all of us, including Iker Casillas. The goalkeeper wanted to wish all fans a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

    "I want to wish a merry Christmas and happy New Year to everybody, especially those who always support us. We all hope to make 2009 an unforgettable year for all Madridistas."

    Iker Casillas will never forget 2008. He won the league title with Real Madrid in Pamplona on 4 May, which was followed by the Zamora Trophy -awarded to the least scored-upon keeper in the season-.

    Once the championship was over, Casillas joined Spain for the Euro 2008, leading the team to triumph. Nobody will ever forget his incredible saves during the penalty shoot-out of the quarterfinal against Italy.
